Your Name

The standard at which most people hold themselves is not as evident as it should be. It's hard to believe that so many people are more concerned about what others think than the person themselves. It wasn't always acknowledged, but over the years I learned that your name is the only thing that stays with you your entire life. How important is it to you to represent your Name with style and grace?  Your name precedes you before even walking into a room.  Think about how many times someone has mentioned a name to you and depending on how you feel about that person, you're either positive or negative.  Don't you want people to hear your name and light up?  We at SLM believe that each of us should make it priority to put honor and respect with our names.  When introducing yourself, speak your name with the utmost privilege and confidence.
In school, we are taught that before beginning anything on a worksheet, we must first write our name. That is to ensure that whatever else follows on that sheet is a representation of us.  The work that we turn in will reflect our name.  It may not have seemed like a big deal back then but we are for sure held accountable for anything that has our name on it.

So, remember, your name is your legacy that will still hold true even after you.
Do good with your name.
